Description

ARU are looking for a company to provide transport for Students to and from ARU to 5 hospitals in the Essex area throughout the Academic year. The duration of the contract will be for 3 years initially with an option to extend for a further 2 years.

Total Quantity or Scope

Anglia Ruskin University School of Medicine open in 2018 and now has 3 years of medical students. In the first 3 years of the course there are 320 students. They all attend clinical placement across 5 NHS trusts in Essex as part of their course. The contract is for transporting the first 3 years of students to and from placement. The School of Medicine needs a transport provider to ensure our students are taken to and from placement. Placements are currently at 5 NHS trust in Essex, Broomfield, Basildon, Colchester, Southend and Harlow however the number of locations may change throughout the duration of the contract.Currently the maximum number of students that will need transporting on a single day is 320. Most of the time the number is 6 – 30. When needed multiple student year groups can be transported at the same time if the start and end times for the placements allow. However these numbers may fluctuate throughout the duration of the contract.

Renewal Options

Option to extend for a further 24 month period on a 12month by 12 months basis
