Description
The Coal Authority is preparing to re-tender its Framework Contract for The Provision of Engineering Services. This early engagement notice is intended to inform interested parties of this intention This current framework consisting of fourteen lots will expire in January 2022. The new framework will seek to appoint suppliers for the provision of services on an as and when required basis, predominantly in relation to the effects of past mining liabilities and other areas of responsibility of the Coal Authority. Services required will include, but not be limited to; • Investigation into the causes of failure, condition assessment, damage quantification and solution design for damage to roads, bridges, buildings, drainage land etc. caused by past mining. • The areas of expertise may include civil, structural, geotechnical, mining, mechanical and electrical engineering, also environmental, health and safety, contract procurement, agricultural and specialist land drainage advice relating to past coal mining subsidence liabilities and other specialist service areas such as hydrology and hydrogeology. The current proposed lotting structure for this new framework is as detailed below (this structure is subject to change prior to publication of the contract notice) 1 Minewater Treatment Schemes: Scoping, Feasibility & Design. 2 Civil and Structural Engineering 3 Hydrogeology 4 Archaeological Services 5 Ecology & Environmental 6 Planning Services 7 Land Drainage: Agricultural and Specialist 8 Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) 9 Cost Benefit Analysis 10 Treatability 11 Waste Characterisation and Waste Services 12 Supervisory Services 13 Drone and other autonomous equipment surveying 14 Listed and older building support 15 Cost consultancy services We would like to invite interested companies to join us in one of two market engagement events to be held in June 2021 to understand better our requirements for this framework.
