Description

Falkirk Council is leading a procurement on its own account to secure a provider of Transportation of School Meals, to enable the organisation to meet their duties and responsibilities.

Total Quantity or Scope

Falkirk Council has a requirement to engage with suitably qualified suppliers as part of an agreement for the Transportation of School Meals from its School Kitchen production units to non-production schools and nurseries/early years centres.

Renewal Options

The initial contract duration is 24 months with the option to extend for a further 2 x 12 month periods.

The Contractor must be able to demonstrate its intention to integrate trainees and [long term] unemployed persons into the labour market without distinction of sex, marital status, race, ethnic origin or political or religious beliefs. Falkirk Council also specifically wishes to encourage and intends to support the training and skills development of young and/or inexperienced people in order that they can be equipped to work successfully in a customer facing/customer support environment.
