Legal Justification

Northern Gas Networks (NGN) intend to extend the current framework agreement with the same suppliers for a further period to ensure their is no break in service requirement, as currently there is a full above threshold tender being conducted with the intention of awarding a new framework contract in October 2021, this extension is to cover the period while the tender is being run and the new framework contracts will come into force when this extension ends. NGN cannot risk disruption to communication events and services and requires contract assurance whilst the new tender comes to completion. Extending provides NGN with security and supply of these services.
