Other Information

An Independent Visitor is defined as a volunteer who has no connection to the Local Authority's Social Services and whose purpose is to visit and befriend the Service User, offer advice and assistance as appropriate, and take a long-term interest in their welfare, well-being and development. The Independent Visitor shall maintain an independent relationship with their matched Service User in order to provide a consistent and mentoring figure in their life when there is no one in their family who is able to take on this role. This shall be achieved through regular visits to the Service User, including trips out and activities as appropriate, plus maintaining other suitable contact via the Service User's preferred method(s) e.g. video calls, telephone, email. Contact shall only be undertaken with the Service User's consent. Service Users may reside throughout Lincolnshire. The Supplier shall provide county-wide Independent Visitor coverage as required. This procurement is under the light touch regime established pursuant to Regulations 74-76 and Regulation 76 (7) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
