Description
Defra wishes to let a Framework agreement for the provision of Research, Development & Evidence Services. Research and Experimental Development (R&D) comprises creative work undertaken on a systematic basis in order to increase the stock of knowledge, including knowledge of man, culture and society, and the use of this stock of knowledge to devise new applications. Evidence covers a range of sciences including economics, social research, operational research, statistics, natural science, engineering and geography. The framework will be divided into 4 lots, which are additionally divided into sub lots: Lot 1 Food sub lot 1.1 – Supporting a resilient and secure food system sub lot 1.2 – Enabling a productive and competitive agri-food chain sub lot 1.3 – Safety and Confidence in food sub lot 1.4 – Supporting a sustainable and healthy agri-food chain lot 2 Farming sub lot 2.1 – Crop performance and protection services sub lot 2.2 – Livestock performance services sub lot 2.3 – Agronomy, nutrient management and sustainable system services sub lot 2.4 – Modelling toolkits, informatics and comparative life cycle assessment services sub lot 2.5 – Farming statistics Lot 3 Air Quality sub lot 3.1 – Air quality analysis and expert services sub lot 3.2 – Air quality monitoring and data sub lot 3.3 – Modelling tools for air quality studies sub lot 3.4 – Air quality economics and socio-economic sub lot 3.5 – Noise research and analysis Lot 4 Socio-Economic sub lot 4.1 – Socio-economic This procurement will follow the restricted procedure. Research and evidence gathering in this Programme supports development of policies on plant health, tree health, bee health and plant varieties and seeds.
