Indicators
- Contract modified due to additional needs.
Legal Justification
Need for modification brought about by circumstances which a diligent contracting authority could not have foreseen. Provision of a greater number of replacement custody suite communication systems assets that had originally been anticipated. Failure to upgrade these assets would have had a catastrophic effect on the PSNI’s ability to provide a fully functional policing service as custodial facilities would not have been available. Therefore expenditure against the contract will be significantly more than originally anticipated. The contracting authority intends to start the procurement process for the replacement of the current contract now which should be in place at the end of this contract term.
