New Smithfield Market is the leading wholesale fruit, vegetable, poultry and fish market servicing the North Westarea and covers an area of approximately 35 acres. The Market is situated off Ashton Old Road, Openshaw in Manchester and trades as a wholesale market fromMonday to Saturday and as a retail market and car boot sale every Sunday. Manchester City Council (MCC) is seeking to invite tenders for the provision of Cleaning, Waste Segregation,Transport and Processing on New Smithfield Market. The contract is divided into 2 Lots: Lot 1 - Cleaning on New Smithfield Market. Lot 2 - Waste Segregation, Transport and Processing on New Smithfield Market. Tenders can be submitted for 1 or both Lots. The contract will be awarded to 1 company per Lot. The Contract period will be for 2 years with the option to extend for up to an additional 2 years.
