Description

Whittington Health NHS Trust procured a Framework Agreement for the Provision of an Inventory Management Solution (the “Framework Agreement”) that will be available to all current and future members of North Central London Integrated Care System (NCL ICS) members, and other organisations as set out in the OJEU Notice, (“Participating Authorities”) who may access the Framework Agreement during its term and enter into contracts under it. This Framework is designed to enable organisations, including successor organisations, within the Integrated Care System of North Central London to select a common solution with regard to Inventory Management and Scan4Safety. The framework will therefore be a single supplier framework.

Total Quantity or Scope

The Authority sought to implement an inventory management solution. This improved and additional functionality will allow Trusts to achieve the following benefits and outcomes: • Improved patient safety; • More efficient use of staffing resources; • Improved theatre productivity; • Reduced risk of procedure delays or cancellations due to appropriate stock levels; • Efficient use of financial resources and reduction of carbon footprint; • Improved financial understanding and forecasting; • Improved data quality and accessibility; • Compliance with national e-Procurement strategy; • Ability to track trends regards usage of consumables and takes appropriate action; • Ability to match activity undertaken and associated consumable costs; • Scalable deployment; • Reduce wastage; • Improve product recall; and • Improve excess stock hold. The Solution, as a minimum, will meet the following functional requirements to ensure the achievement of the outcomes detailed in the paragraph above. The Solution will allow Trusts to provide: • Stock Management; • Product Information Management; • Transaction Management; • Item Picking; • Item Consumption; • Item Returns; • Item Wastage; • Item Transfers; • Item Quarantining; • Item Stock Counting; • Product Recalls; • Clinical Data Capture; • Reporting; • Automatic Identification Device Capture; • User Management; and • Hardware & Associated Software Applications.
