Description
The Housing Executive requires 4 Oracle Solaris Servers (3 X SPARC S7-2 servers and 1 x SPARC T8-1 server) to replace the existing three T5 and single T4 Oracle Solaris servers currently hosting the Housing Executive’s deployments of Orchard Housing, integrated 3rd party applications and bespoke extensions to Orchard Housing (HMS). The Tenderer will be required to deliver, install and configure the servers to the state where they are ready for the HMS application supplier to migrate the systems from the existing servers to the supplied servers. The Tenderer will also be required to certify the servers to allow for the installation of the Oracle support gateway, install the Oracle support gateway and establish Oracle Platinum Support for all the supplied servers.

** PREVIEW NOTICE, please check Find a Tender for full details. ** This contract is for an initial 60 month period (Initial Contract Period) with an option to extend for any period or periods up to and including 24 months from the end of the Initial Contract Period. The total contract value in this notice relates to the maximum potential contract period including extensions [7 years] as included in the Conditions of Contract. Contract Monitoring, the successful Contractor’s performance on this Contract will be managed as per the specification and regularly monitored, see Procurement Guidance Note 01/12 - Contract Management - Procedures and Principles. Contractors not delivering on contract requirements is a serious matter. It means the public purse is not getting what it is paying for. If a Contractor fails to reach satisfactory levels of contract performance they will be given a specified time to improve. If, after the specified time, they still fail to reach satisfactory levels of contract performance, the matter will be escalated to senior management for further action. If this occurs and their performance still does not improve to satisfactory levels within the specified period, it may be regarded as an act of grave professional misconduct and they may be issued with a Notice of Unsatisfactory Performance and this Contract may be terminated.
