Other Information
The Service Provider must offer 1-2-1 tuition to participants when referred (capacity allowing) and not determine that participants wait for others to form a learning group, thereby creating further barriers to the potential learner(s). Appreciating that some participants benefit from a shared learning experience, the contact will allow for small groups of a maximum of six participants. However, the expectation is that the majority of learner's experience will be on a 1-2-1 basis. Service Providers will support participants to develop their confidence and a positive approach to these essential skills, and progress into education, employment or training if that is their aim. Service Providers must be registered with a relevant Awarding Body, and tutors must be formally qualified to deliver the specified subjects, evidence of relevant registration and qualification must be provided. Programmes will run to a set timetable, for example 10am - 4pm, between 1 - 3 days per week for up to 16 weeks, with tutor supervision/engagement as required by the participant(s) during each lesson.
