Description

Aberdeen City Council, Aberdeenshire Council and the Highland Council are collaborating together to tender their requirements for transportation of school meals. Primarily, the Councils require meals that are cooked in a main school kitchen to be collected, transported and delivered to another school which does not have sufficient catering facilities. Tenderers are able to tender individually or for all 3 Councils.

This requirement is for the provision of a school nursery meal collection and delivery service, from school kitchens preparing meals to school nurseries within Aberdeen city that do not have a kitchen. Packed containers are to be collected from a designated kitchen and delivered to the designated delivery point in the receiving establishment at the time stated. Timely delivery is of critical importance to this contract. The collection times are set to meet the target of serving a meal within one hour of the meal being packed for transport. Delivery to the designated delivery point of the receiving establishment, must be a minimum of 15 minutes prior to serving time. The requirement is for the provision of a school meal collection and delivery service, from school kitchens preparing meals to schools within Aberdeenshire that do not have a kitchen Packed containers are to be collected from a designated kitchen and delivered to the designated delivery point in the receiving establishment at the time stated. Timely delivery is of critical importance to this contract. The meals are packed into containers/boxes by the production kitchen and collected and delivered to the servery at set times each day, times must be adhered to meet schools’ lunch service, however mealtimes may be changed during the period of the contract. The collection times are set to meet the target of serving a meal within one hour of the meal being packed for transport. This Contract provides for Transported School Meals Delivery – the transportation of food containers from one Highland Council establishment to another.
