Description

The South West Regional Coastal Monitoring Programme (SWRCMP) undertakes the collection, analysis and storage of various forms of coastal survey data around the South West of England. It covers 2450 km of coastline from Portland Bill round to Beachley. It has been undertaking this since 2006 and has a 15 year record of observations. The hydrodynamic network is used as a part of a long-term programme of coastal monitoring, to analyse coastal processes and provide data for operational and strategic shoreline management.

Total Quantity or Scope

The procurement was conducted using the restricted process which was subject to the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (as amended). It was run under the Multi-Supplier Dynamic Purchasing System which is available to the National Network of Regional Coastal Monitoring Programmes for the Provision of Coastal Monitoring Services DPS, running from 01 April 2021 – 31 March 2027 (OJEU contract notice ref: 2020/S/025-058109). This contract was advertised under Lot 1 Hydrodynamic Services. All suppliers have pre-qualified and all on Lot 1 were invited to submit a tender. The Council’s intention is to let a contract for 6 years with no option to extend. The total contract value (including extension options) was estimated at (excluding VAT) £1.4m.
