Description

The ERP is a joint research programme delivered through DCMS, DHSC and BEIS, exploring ways to enable people to attend large events and performances safely through a series of pilot events. As part of the ERP, DCMS requires a supplier to examine the risk of airborne transmission indoors, based on environmental data. The aim of this research is to evaluate the risk by investigating how venues operate in practice in terms of ventilation and crowd management, and to assess potential exposure to airborne infectious diseases (including, but not limited to Covid-19) and the risk of infection associated with this exposure. Finally, the research will aim to propose mitigation measures to reduce the risk.
