Legal Justification
The original intention was to fabricate the walkways for 802 in-house. Due to COVID-19 influences, workshop capacity issues and the required schedule a decision was taken to outsource the requirement. "Quick Quote" was used on PCS to issue the enquiry. The original estimated value of the structural fabrication work was below the threshold of GBP 50,000 (1,300hrs @ GBP 26.50 = GBP 34,450).
