Description

This notice is to advise the market of University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) intention to issue a tender opportunity for a Biochemistry Managed Service. At the time of this notice the Biochemistry Managed Service will cover an automated chemistry and immunoassay service including pre- and post – analytics across four sites (Queen Elizabeth, Birmingham Heartlands, Good Hope and Solihull Hospitals). The scope of analysis will include, but not limited to, routine chemistry, immunoassay, immunology, serology, therapeutic drug monitoring (including antibiotics). The Trust intends to hold a virtual pre-market engagement day on 21/09/ 2021 and will make a final decision on the most appropriate route to market after this engagement day. However, the Trust’s preferred route to market currently is via the “open” procedure.

Suppliers who wish to attend the virtual pre-market engagement day will be required to give a small presentation on a series of points the Trust wishes to explore, as outlined in the attached overarching service scope.
