Description
Cambridge City Council (The Council) requires a supplier to fulfil its building cleaning services for the city, for communal areas of council housing. This element of the City Councils building cleaning requirements is part of its wider cleaning requirements which were tendered and awarded with the contracts starting on the 1st April 20211. The previous tender used the following five lot structure as follows: • Lot 1: Administration, commercial buildings, community centres and operational buildings (Contracted April 2021) • Lot 2: Public toilets (Contracted April 2021) • Lot 3: City Homes communal areas and sheltered housing schemes (this procurement exercise) • Lot 4: Multi-storey car parks (Contracted April 2021) • Lot 5: Window cleaning (Contracted April 2021)

Other Information
The Council are now proceeding with a new Procurement separate procurement to find a supplier to fulfil building cleaning services for City Homes communal areas and sheltered housing schemes. Please note this contract includes TUPE. The current contract for Housing Cleaning includes elements that are not included within this tender as such the exact nature of the TUPE requirements and who transfer to whom will not be known until the selection process is complete and the successful tenderer has been identified. The Council will provide TUPE information upon request and the completion of a non-disclosure agreement. A contract term is initially 3 years, with an option to extend by 2 years then up to 2 further years, if the supplier is performing satisfactorily, and the service can be shown to continue to provide best value to the Council; this gives a maximum possible contract length of 7 years. Assessment - price: quality tender assessment split of 40% price: 60% quality. The current contract is due to end on the 31st March 2022 it is not anticipated that this will be extended.
