Description

Shropshire Council are looking to appoint a lead contractor to help deliver HHRSH’s and factory insulated hot water cylinders where necessary to approximately 65 households across Shropshire. The Council is seeking a high quality, lead contractor that has all relevant accreditations including Trustmark and PAS2030. The lead contractor will be customer focused and able to support and increase the capacity of the local supply chain to deliver these measures now and in the future. This should include a training and support package including quality assurance on completed installs.

Total Quantity or Scope

Shropshire Council has secured LAD2 funding to install a number of energy efficiency measures to homes across the County. The LAD scheme aims to raise the energy efficiency of low-income and low EPC rated homes, delivering progress towards: reducing fuel poverty, the phasing out of high carbon fossil fuel heating and the UK's commitment to net zero by 2050. Measures will be delivered across Owner/Occupier and Private Rented tenures. … We expect the lead contractor to be able to access ECO3 funding and to discharge this to eligible households and properties where possible. LAD2 Funding should only be accessed when the required works can’t be fully funded via ECO3. Installs to run from October 2021 to end of March 2022 with a potential extension to the end of March 2023 should The Council be successful in Sustainable Warmth Competition.
