Need for modification brought about by circumstances which a diligent contracting authority/entity could not foresee (Art. 43(1)(c) of Directive 2014/23/EU, Art. 72(1)(c) of Directive 2014/24/EU, Art. 89(1)(c) of Directive 2014/25/EU) Description of the circumstances which rendered the modification necessary and explanation of the unforeseen nature of these circumstances: Covid-19 extension — 2020 As detailed in procurement policy notice PPN01/20 extending or modifying a contract during its term under Regulation 72(1)(c) states: contracts may be modified without a new procurement procedure in any of the following cases:(c) where all of the following conditions are fulfilled:(i) the need for modification has been brought about by circumstances which a diligent contracting authority could not have foreseen;(ii) the modification does not alter the overall nature of the contract;(iii) any increase in price does not exceed 50 % of the value of the original contract
