This is a voluntary ex ante transparency notice (VEAT). This notice is to indicate that the Heriot-Watt University intends to contract with Photonic Solutions for the provision of a high power, high energy ultrafast Yb laser system consisting of the following requirements: Centre wavelength 1030+/-10 nm Max. output power 80 W at 40 - 2000 kHz Tunable pulse duration <350 fs - 10 ps Max. pulse energy >2 mJ at up to 40 kHz Pulse energy stability <0.5 % rms over 24 h Output pulse polarization contrast >1000:1 Pre-pulse <1:200, post-pulse <1:200 Beam diameter 3.3 mm +/- 0.5 mm @FWHM With simultaneous oscillator output and upgradeability to full CEP stabilisation.
