Description

The DHSC invites potential bidders to express their interest in the evaluations of government support for Tier 2 Weight Management Services provided for the 2021/22 Financial Year. There are 2 LOTS: a) Adult Tier 2 Weight Management Services, and b) Child Tier 2 Weight Management Services £30.5m has been provided as grant-funding to local authorities to increase/expand adult Weight Management Services and grants of varying sizes have been taken up by nearly all local authorities in England. A smaller amount of funding (£4.3m) has been made available to 11 local authorities to a) test new approaches to recruiting children into child Weight Management Services by developing Extended Brief Intervention approaches,and b) explore the development of new services for under-served groups . The aim is for these two overarching evaluations to review and synthesise the monitoring and evaluation and research already embedded/planned as well as pursue independent lines of enquiry to cover key evaluation questions.
