Description
Nottinghamshire County Council (the “Council”) is seeking to establish a Dynamic Provider List, using a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS), of suitably experienced organisations able to provide Domestic Abuse Safe Accommodation Support Services in Nottinghamshire (excluding Nottingham City). Domestic Abuse Safe Accommodation Support Services provide support to adults and children seeking safe accommodation as a result of experiencing/ fleeing from domestic abuse. This includes male survivors as well as female. All services procured under this DPS will have a common aim to provide comprehensive specialist support services for survivors of domestic abuse and their children residing in domestic abuse safe accommodation. In particular the Services will: • Ensure the highest degree of safety and security for survivors residing in the accommodation • Assess and offer individual support to survivors to meet their needs and aid their recovery • Support survivors to access other services to meet their physical and mental health needs • Support and encourage survivors to make independent decisions about their lives • Be responsive to the needs of children and young people, ensuring they receive the right support to deal with the trauma they have endured To be included on the DPS organisations must have a minimum of three years’ experience of delivering specialist support services for survivors of domestic abuse. The DPS will operate electronically via the Pro-Contract procurement portal - www.eastmidstenders.org The DPS will operate for a period of 10 years.
Total Quantity or Scope
Contracts procured under this DPS may be for any of the following: • Refuge management and support services (Gender specific) • Move on accommodation management and support services • Support for adults and children residing in other domestic abuse safe accommodation • Support for survivors with protected characteristics accessing safe accommodation • Support for survivors with complex needs accessing safe accommodation Organisations will provide Domestic abuse specialist support which may include: • needs assessment and support planning • practical and emotional support • safety planning • skills, knowledge and awareness about safe, equal and violence free relationships • referral and signposting to external agencies • partnership working with external linked services • parenting advice • building on any awareness around domestic abuse • confidence building • advocacy • escort to any legal and /or court appointments • key work with regular face to face support sessions • facilitating service user participation through groups, house meeting, service user groups • specialist children’s services face to face and group work, stay and play sessions, therapeutic sessions • providing access to equipped play rooms • group work with adult survivors or children and young people • support for survivors who are parents to understand their child’s/ adolescents emotional needs and their individual experiences of DVA • support with health appointments including maternity services & sexual health • housing applications and the housing processes in or outside of the area including attending appointments also includes private sector • welfare benefits • school places • registering and accessing GPs • child protection and safeguarding issues • support to access other services e.g. drug, alcohol and mental health services, children’s centre, counselling services • exit planning including safety planning and referral to outreach services • support to enable to move on to reasonable and safe resettlement and independent living arrangements
