Description

North Lanarkshire Council (the "Council") propose to establish a multi-lot Framework with a sole Contractor in each lot, who will provide an Independent Advocacy Service for both adults and older adults within North Lanarkshire. . Start Date 1 November 2021 until End Date 31 July 2024. .

Lot Division

1 Younger Adults

The Framework is to support the Council to fulfill its statutory obligations for the provision of advocacy Services. The Mental Health [Care and Treatment] Act [Scotland] 2003 imposed a duty on local authorities and health boards to collaborate to ensure the availability of independent advocacy services within their area. The Act gave everyone with mental illness, learning disability, dementia and related conditions the right to access independent advocacy support. The Mental Health (Scotland) Act 2015 builds on the rights enshrined within the 2003 Act to widen access to independent advocacy support. . Duration: 33 months . Budget: Annual budget of 270000GBP. .
