Description

WLHSCP wish to commission services for the provision of a professional independent advocacy service which focuses on support to enable people with mental health problems and, or addiction issues to have their wishes heard, make their own choices and take control of their own lives.

Total Quantity or Scope

WLHSCP has a responsibility to make provision for independent advocacy under the provisions of the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003. To fulfil this responsibility and to promote social inclusion and equality, WLHSCP will commission services for the provision of a professional independent advocacy service which focuses on support to enable people with mental health problems and, or addiction issues to have their wishes heard, make their own choices and take control of their own lives. In addition, under the terms of this contract additional spot purchase funding will be available for the duration of the contract for the provision of an independent advocacy service to unpaid adult carers. Additional information: The provider should be a fully Independent Advocacy Organisation- as defined by the SIAA.
