The contract is for an initial three year period with an optional extension of a further two years, with staff able to take up a lease in any of these years. The total cost of the contract is a range between £4,753,000 and £33,485,000 which will not be paid by the BBC, but taken as part of a salary sacrifice scheme with NI and Tax savings benefits for BBC employees.
