Environmental Health Officer - Citizen and Consumer Protection Rate of Pay: £15.78 up to £18.00 per hour Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday Location: Citizen and Consumer Protection, Environmental Heath, 3rd Floor, 335-337 High Street, West Bromwich, B70 8LU Start Date: ASAP Contract type: Agency - 12 Weeks Job Description and Personnel Specification are attached, which also provides more information above the role. Brief description: Sandwell MBC Citizen and Consumer Protection, Business and Consumer team is looking for a fully qualified, enthusiastic and reliable Environmental Health/Food Safety Officer registered with the Environmental Health Registration Board. We are looking for someone with experience of conducting Food Safety/Standards inspections. This role is ideally tailored towards somebody with public sector food premises inspection experience.

You should be competent in Food Safety and Food Standards as detailed by the FSA Food Law Code of Practice and have the ability to carry out inspections in accordance with the relevant legislation and national codes of practice. You must be competent with Microsoft Office and use of the internet and be an excellent communicator at all levels. Knowledge of the CIVICA environmental health database is desirable. Stated rates must be inclusive of all known costs. A standard DBS is required for this role.
