Description

WLHSCP are seeking to appoint a provider for the Short Breaks (Respite) at Home and in the Community Flexible Framework contract to support and sustain the caring relationship and in doing so meet the needs, expectations and outcomes sought for both the cared-for person and their carer. This is with a view to enabling the carer to have a break whilst at the same time enabling the person requiring care to remain at home avoiding or delaying the need for possible admission to an alternative care environment or the need for increased levels of intervention wherever possible. West Lothian Council will make use of the provisions of the Light Touch Regime and intend to operate a Flexible Framework Agreement for Short Breaks (Respite) at home and in a Community Setting. The Framework is for 2 years with the possibility of extending for a period of up to a further 24 months. WLC will open the Flexible Framework annually at their discretion to allow new providers to join the Framework.
