Description

To provide subsidised local bus services which also include subsidised local school transport services throughout Tyne and Wear. Note there are several potential contracts of varying duration/scale ranging from 3 months up to 5 years. In accordance with Nexus terms and conditions of contract applicable, contract will be paid in monthly instalments over the duration of the contract. A sum of money will be retained against initial scheduled payment and held until end of contract period. Penalties for poor performance will be applied as appropriate and as described in the contract documentation. Joint and several liabilities will apply.

Total Quantity or Scope

Additional information: Evidence of holding current UK PSV operator's licence, section 19 permit private hire licence, Driver CPC card and driving licences as appropriate, together with appropriate vehicle insurance, employer liability insurance and public liability insurance is necessary. Individual tenders will be issued over the course of a 12 month period. Organisations may express interest at any time over 12 month period in order to be considered and included on register of potential suppliers/service providers.
