Description

Birmingham City Council is inviting organisations to provide quotations for delivering targeted focus groups to support the development of the Birmingham Health and Wellbeing Board Strategy: Creating a Bolder, Healthier City. The draft Birmingham Health and Wellbeing Board Strategy, Creating a Bolder, Healthier City has been shaped and developed over the past three years with citizens, partner organisations and national policy changes. The strategy is required by the Health and Wellbeing Board as part of its statutory functions. The proposed approach is for the strategy; signposting to action across the health and care system. The Health and Wellbeing Board is seeking views on the strategy in a public consultation. The purpose of the consultation is to assess and understand the support and needs for our thematic ambitions, key actions and our proposals to measure progress. Targeted focus groups will form part of the consultation to support the engagement and co-production of the strategy, allowing more voices to be heard. Focus Groups - Target Populations a. Young people (ages 16-25) b. Ethnic Minority Communities including: i. Asian/Asian British, particularly Pakistani communities ii. Black African and Black Caribbean communities c. Faith (particularly Muslim) communities d. Population groups who may be digitally excluded e. Adults with learning disabilities f. Homeless adults, including rough sleepers and those living in temporary accommodation g. Adults from the traveller community h. Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBTQ plus) adults and/or young people i. Adults with sensory impairment j. Adults with physical impairment k. Healthcare professionals l. Businesses m. Food businesses n. Leisure providers The anticipated start of the contract is 25th October 2021. The deadline for the final report and end of the contract is 14th January 2022.
