The tender project is seeking to appoint a Contractor whose initiative and innovation will be welcomed for the provision of cleaning services within the facilities for Hodge Hill Girls’ School. The high-quality service levels proposed, should maintain excellent standards throughout, resulting in a pleasant environment for both the students and staff.

Total Quantity or Scope

Hodge Hill Girls’ School is a small school with strong community values; staff know and care for every pupil as an individual. All local pupils are welcome and everyone strives to meet the needs of each member of the school community, celebrating diversity and always striving for equality in the school family and the wider world. The school ethos encourages mutual respect and support to enable every pupil to make the greatest personal, social and academic progress during their time with at school, preparing them for successful careers and fulfilling lives. All at Hodge Hill Girls' School genuinely value and strive to enhance working partnerships with families, feeder schools and the local community. This partnership is essential in raising standards and achievement, every member of the school family has a role to play in raising the aspirations of all pupils to ensure they really are "Educating Tomorrow's Women Today". The contract being tendered is for three years in duration from 1 August 2022 until 31 July 2025, with the option to extend the contract term for a further term of up to two years and will be fixed price in nature, with the Supplier invoicing the Client for one-twelfth of the annual cost on a monthly basis. The tender project is seeking to appoint a Contractor whose initiative and innovation will be welcomed for the provision of cleaning services within the facilities for Hodge Hill Girls’ School. The high-quality service levels proposed, should maintain excellent standards throughout, resulting in a pleasant environment for both the students and staff. The basis and rationale that the Client requires the successful contractor to operate to at all times, is being able to provide a school that is fit for purpose and that the Contractor is proactive in the management of the contract, thus ensuring that all specifications are achieved and that the frequency of cleans is as detailed within the Tender Specification. It should be noted that the successful contractor will be expected to bring to the contract: innovation; new equipment; and cleaning methods, with BICSc standards being achieved as a minimum, thus ensuring that the highest levels of cleanliness are maintained in all areas at all times and also ensuring that the productivity of the cleaning operatives is enhanced moving forward into the new contract term. At present 12 cleaning operatives are employed to 144.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday, which includes a Contract Supervisor undertaking cleaning and non-cleaning duties. The value of the current contract is circa £103,000.00 + VAT which includes: •Daily cleaning •Window cleaning 2 x per annum •Carpet / soft furnishing shampooing as required, with a full clean at least annually •The cleaning of all computers •Special event cleaning for lettings / parent’s evenings as required - approximately 10 days per annum •Internal and external litter picking •All periodic duties The school wish to consider proposals for cleaning to be carried out as currently, in the first instance, but are open to suggestions around the most efficient and beneficial methodology to ensure maximum cleanliness of the buildings - and will ultimately require costings and timescales accordingly.
