Senior Legal Assistant Rate of Pay: Band G (£18.53 per hour to worker) Hours: 37 hours per week Location: Council House, Oldbury Contract type: Temporary for 3 months (until 31 March 2022) Job Description and Personnel Specification are attached, which also provides more information above the role. Job Summary: A fantastic opportunity to join an exciting, dynamic, pioneering legal team in Sandwell. We require a Senior Legal Assistant who is ideally a Member or Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives or equivalent or newly qualified Solicitor or Barrister, who can provide advice and assistance on all legal matters. Executive or a Newly Qualified Solicitor (with some experience of litigation and/or employment matters) is required. You will be supported by a team of excellent caseworkers and business support officers. This role would be suitable for an experienced practitioner who can demonstrate the ability to deal with demanding work, with excellent client care skills, and an eagerness to provide a high-quality service to our clients and stakeholders. The post-holder will be expected to assist the In-House Principal Advocate/Barrister in dealing with Employment matters, with responsibility for preparing witness statements, and disclosure bundles for upcoming Tribunal hearings, drafting settlement agreements, and assisting with Employment cases generally. The post holder will be given the opportunity to conduct tribunal matters when required.
