Brief Description of Requirement We require the services of a specialist supplier with extensive skills, knowledge and expertise in relation to the steel industry to conduct a specialist commercial due diligence of a very significant grant application for a company in the UK. The supplier will be required to evaluate assumptions made in the company's business plan before we can finalise the grant award. Scope of Work The supplier will have to demonstrate extensive expertise and knowledge of the steel sector and utilise this in evaluating and critically assessing the credibility of the commercial aspects of the company Business Plan ('BP') against future steel supply and demand expectations in the UK and key export markets, including, but not limited to: • Overview of the supply and demand outlook for each product category referenced in the BP; • Assessment of the BP sales volume, price realisation and market share projections in each major product category set against the market outlook; • Assessment of the impact of the current steel tariff/safeguard regime may have on the company's exports; • Setting a RAG rating against the long-term projections for each product category; • Suggesting an alternative range of commercial outcomes (volume, price, margin) for each product category where the BP projections are considered unrealistic or aggressive. PLEASE NOTE: the supplier will have to demonstrate extensive skills and expertise in relation to understanding and analysing the steel market specifically. This piece of work requires extensive knowledge of the steel industry in order to provide credible assessment of the above scope items. Reliance Basis It is essential that the final report be provided on a reliance basis. This reliance basis must be provided on the basis that the full due diligence provider can use the report in their assessment of the company's grant application.
