Description
The Authority requires access to designated health professionals that are able to provide expert advice 24/7, 365 days a year in relation to the Authority’s overseas child safeguarding arrangement. Requirements 24/7 ‘reachback’ provision, broken down as follows: Advisory Role: • Provision of specialist paediatric advice (level 5 child safeguarding expertise ) and support to Defence professionals (and those contracted by Defence) across the health and social work community overseas with regard to safeguarding/child protection. Advice to include assessment, treatment and clinical services for all forms of child maltreatment Clinical Role: • Provision of paediatric child protection medical assessments where there has been a disclosure or there is a suspicion of any form of abuse to a child (completed in line with good practice service delivery standards ) • Provision of child protection medical reports (completed in accordance with the guidance in the RCPCH Child Protection Companion ) • Provision of child protection radiological investigations (completed in accordance with the Joint RCR and SCoR guidance 2018 ) • Provision of a 2nd opinion on medical assessments and radiological investigations undertaken by host nation medical facilities

The Authority is inviting interested parties to provide details on their capacity and capability in this field along with a proposed delivery model and likely costings for such provision. The Authority is looking to host individual MS Teams sessions with interested providers to aid its understanding of the market. The MS Teams sessions shall be held week commencing 7th February 2022 (timings to be confirmed with individual parties). Details of capacity and capability in this field d. Point of Contact details Information you provide to the Authority in response to this RFI will be handled in-confidence. By submitting a response to this RFI you are giving the Authority permission to keep and use the information for our internal purposes. The Authority shall not use or disclose the information for any other purpose, without first requesting permission to do so. Any and all costs associated with the production of a response either to this RFI, attendance at the MS Teams session, or any resultant competition shall be borne by the provider. The Authority shall not contribute in any way to meeting the cost of any response. This RFI is not a means to seek formal expressions of interest - Should the Authority decide to progress with the requirement, a Contract Notice shall be issued that references this RFI. Should a potential provider decide not to respond to the RFI, it shall not affect any participation in any possible future procurement for this requirement.
