Description
This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is in relation to the renewal of the national flexible framework for Children's Residential Care and Education services - including short breaks. The scope and structure of service options outlined in this PIN may be subject to change, however the current framework includes: - Residential care; - Residential care and education; - Day education; and - Residential short break services. It is anticipated that the duration of this framework could be up to a period of 6 years, from the commencement date. For the purposes of calculating the value of the contract, a 6 year contract length has been used. This is indicative only and subject to change based on policy and other requirements. This Prior Information Notice is in relation to a third generation national framework for children's residential care and education services.

** PREVIEW NOTICE, please check Find a Tender for full details. ** Scotland Excel plans to renew the Children's Residential Care and Education, including Short Breaks, framework in 2022. It is anticipated that a streamlined approach and application process will be used to award providers to the framework. This streamlined process will be designed to reduce the administrative burden on providers seeking to take part in the new framework. Details on how to apply will be set out in the Contract Notice which is expected to be published at the end of February. Scotland Excel is intending to hold a series of engagement events with providers on focused themes relevant to the renewal. Anyone interested in participating in these should email: socialcare@scotland-excel.org.uk to register by 31 January 2022. Sessions will be held via MS Teams. Session numbers may be limited to allow effective dialogue. Feedback may be used to inform the tender development process, however neither Scotland Excel nor any contracting authority will be bound to accept any views stated. Participation is not mandatory and any party not participating will not be disadvantaged in the tender process.
