Description
NWL CCG requires a service provider to facilitate health screening for asylum seeker patients housed in 38 Interim accommodation sites and hotels across North West London in accordance with NHSE/DH service specifications, facilitation of registration with local practices, liaison with accommodation provider and CCG to facilitate and escalate issues of concern or safeguarding. The Home Office are housing Asylum Seekers (Service Users) in various accommodations across the country and key services required include: -Full health screening( upon arrival) of service users (SU) who recently arrived in the UK. -Facilitation to permanent GP registration, -Swift escalation for urgent referrals for physical or mental health needs identified at health screening. -Liaison with partner organisations to ensure residents are supported and safeguarded. Service Users profile: - May be family groups, lone males or females, young adults and unaccompanied minors awaiting the outcome of their asylum case. - May be asymptomatic with respect to COVID-19 symptoms. - Duration of stay could vary from 35 days to 2 years. - Ability to speak English may be limited. - Varied and unpredictable health needs. - May have complex health needs / mental health problems / safeguarding concerns. - May have previous lack of access to healthcare. - Will usually not have an NHS number or be registered with a GP. - Likely to have limited access to money/benefits. The CCG currently has a contract in place with Greenbrook Healthcare (Hounslow) Ltd to provide the above services. The term of this contract is 6 months, 1st October 2021 - 31st March 2022 (value: £659,883.5) during which time, the CCG will assess the needs of the service users and consider how (if relevant) it needs to: -Secure the needs of the people who use the services. -Improve the quality of the services. -Improve the efficiency in the provision of the services including through the services being provided in an integrated way. NWL CCG is considering options for making future arrangements for these services beyond March 2022 which may involve looking to tender the opportunity in the future. Any capable provider may come forward by 3rd March 2022 to engage with the CCG. If it is the case that Greenbrook Healthcare is the only provider capable of delivering the services across the 38 sites, then the CCG will look to award a further contract to Greenbrook Healthcare for up to 2 years beyond 1st April 2022. During 2022, it is anticipated that NWL CCG will be succeeded by an Integrated Care Board (ICB). Any future contract and/or procurement opportunity may therefore be in the name of the ICB.
