Description
This is to supplement the PIN that has just been published today inviting suppliers to further 1:1 market engagement sessions in relation to the RIMNET Nuclear Monitor Network procurement. The 1:1 sessions will take place during the weeks of the 28th February and 7th March 2022. The purpose of the sessions will be to learn from market expertise, finalise a deliverable specification and confirm the market’s capability to deliver the requirement.
Total Quantity or Scope
BEIS is the Lead Government Department for civil nuclear emergencies in the UK and operates the national network of radiation monitors.The procurement is to manage and maintain an existing estate of radiation monitors to an agreed service level that ensures BEIS has an effective solution to radiation monitoring across the UK.The objective is to leverage new technologies to improve the UK's radiation detection capability around civil nuclear sites, as well as maintain the support service for the existing national network of monitors. The competition will include the procurement of new assets to augment the existing network, and the procurement of a support and maintenance service for both new and existing monitor types in the network (and their associated data communications solutions). The terms of the support and maintenance service will include (but not be limited to): monitor fault response and rectification, repairs, calibrations and performance reporting. Additional information: All supplier 1:1 sessions will be recorded for the purpose of responding to suppliers' questions and further developing the specification.

BEIS requires suppliers to sign and return an NDA by COP Monday 14th February (the NDA is provided as an attachment in the relevant Tenderbox), so that background information including a full specification can be shared. Following the sharing of background documents, we will ask suppliers to sign up to a 1:1 session.
