Hertfordshire Catering Limited (HCL) is currently out to procurement for The Supply of Fresh Produce.

Total Quantity or Scope

Hertfordshire Catering Limited (HCL) is a limited company, limited by a single share wholly owned by Hertfordshire County Council (HCC). The Service is for The Supply of Fresh Produce on an as required basis to various establishments throughout the HCL estate. HCL has specific requirements which the successful Contractor shall comply with under any Agreement formed as a result of this tendering exercise and details of these requirements are given throughout the document.The majority of the educational establishments will require the Service term time only, although some establishments will require deliveries 52 weeks of the year.The successful Contractor must demonstrate working knowledge, experience and be thoroughly versed in all phases of farming, produce and production. The successful Contractor must provide evidence of sufficient resources available for the initial roll out as well as auditable provenance and quality assurance at every step.Further details are in the Tender document set.The estimated total value of the Contract is stated in II.1.5) of this notice and is for the initial term inclusive of the approximate value for extensions. For the avoidance of doubt, the estimated annual value of the Contract will be approximately £1.65m. The Contract will be awarded for an initial term of four years, with the option to extend the Contract up to two further years.
