CUSTOMER: Defence Medical Services HQ, Ministry of Defence (The Authority) DATE RESPONSE REQUIRED: Friday 11th March 2022 Dear Potential Provider, We would like to notify you of a potential upcoming requirement, and by doing so we are keen to understand where the market stands in terms of our requirement below. This Request for Information (RFI) seeks information relating to the provision of neurocognitive testing, which the Authority requires for use at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC). CURRENT SITUATION The Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC), Stanford Hall, provides both inpatient and outpatient neuro rehabilitation to Service Personnel (SP) who have a neurological condition, including mild, moderate and severe brain injuries. Conditions affecting the brain frequently result in cognitive difficulties experienced by patients. In order to assess the presence and severity of specific cognitive problems, the specialist psychology team require validated assessment tools. The results inform the treatment required by patients and safety of personnel returning to military duties. The Authority requires neuro cognitive testing materials to identify cognitive deficits in patients with neurological conditions. This allows clinicians to determine whether and what treatment strategies are required to improve cognitive functioning or compensate with strategies to manage deficits identified. The test results help to inform whether a SP will be able to return to a military role. REQUIREMENT 1. The Contractor is to provide a range of neuro cognitive testing materials including: a. TOMM b. TOPF c. WAIS d. WMS e. D-KEFS f. Hayling and Brixton g. RBANS 2. The Authority shall require the test booklets to be delivered to: DMRC Neuro Services Manager Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre Stanford Hall Stanford on Soar Loughborough England LE12 5BL CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES The Contractor shall be required to ensure that all test requests booklets are dispatched within 5 working days of receipt of order. Any missing items are to be replaced within 48 hours at no extra cost to the Authority. RESPONSE GUIDANCE This Request for Information (RFI) has been issued in order to better understand the market.
