Description

Construction of Aberdeen South Harbour has commenced. This procurement is for the construction of the South Breakwater and other ancillary works, inclusive of the recommissioning and operation of the existing on-site accropode manufacturing facility for the manufacture of the final accropodes required for the construction of the South Breakwater.Provision of Insitu concrete shall be free issue by the client.

Total Quantity or Scope

This procurement is for the construction of the South Breakwater (approximately 600m long) and other ancillary works, inclusive of the recommissioning and operation of the existing on-site accropode manufacturing facility for the manufacture of the final concrete accropodes for the construction of the South Breakwater, for which the concrete supply will be provided by the Client. The South Breakwater construction has partially commenced and will have material deposited within the footprint by on-going dredging works. The successful Contractor will be responsible for the full construction and reworking of any deposited material to meet the design profiles.The Tenderer will require to demonstrate suitable experiance and capibility to successfully deliver the specialist nature of the works.

Tenderers may submit proposals for alternative spar buoy solutions. Such options would not be scored within the tender assessment. Tenders must comply with the specification.

Other Information

The Form of Contract will be an NEC4 Option A with a Schedule of Amendments. Economic operators are required to submit tenders on the basis of the Form of Contract issued as part of the procurement document. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015. Selection criteria and scoring methodology are more fully described within the tender documentation. If a bidder is not able to provide the requested ESPD supporting documents, or withholds or misrepresents such information, this is a discretionary ground for exclusion Further tendering opportunities for works associated with the development of Aberdeen South Harbour may be published in due course. The Procurement is an Open procedure. The form of Contract will be an NEC4 Option A with Contract Amendments.
