CROWTHORNE PARISH COUNCIL ('the Council') and CROWTHORNE EDUCATIONAL CHARITY ('the Charity') INVITE TENDERS FROM INTERESTED CONTRACTORS ('The Contractor') FOR RE-ROOFING CROWTHORNE SPORTS AND SOCIAL CLUB, WELLINGTON ROAD, CROWTHORNE RG45 7LD ('The Club') Before Commencement of Works: (1) Contractor to provide written references from 2 public sector works contracts for re-roofing works exceeding £25,000 carried out by the contractor in the last 3 years verifying works completed on budget, on time and to a standard which was satisfactory to the buyer. (2) Contractor to provide written risk assessments, methods statements, evidence of public liability insurance and other industry specific paperwork which is acceptable to the Council and Charity. The Works: (4) To supply and fit Nord Bitumin Multilayer hot bonded roofing system as follows:- (5) To assess the area to determine safe working requirements and to utilise hazard warning signage, fencing/barriers, lockable scaffolding etc. as required to ensure the health and safety of staff and public. (6) Supply and fit scaffolding to roof area. (7) Remove all debris and clean roof area - all waste to be removed from site by contractor and disposed of legally by licensed waste carrier. (8) Supply and fit 18mm structural grade OSB board to roof area this will be mechanically fixed. (9) All pipe protrusions and air vents to be carefully waterproofed, and all redundant services removed. (10) Remove all coping stones and clear away from site or re-mortar where required (to be agreed by the Council and Charity with the contractor). (11) Supply and fit 18mm structural grade OSB board to the vertical and horizontal sections of the parapet wall. (12) Prime roof area with Primer Tec Bitumen primer. (13) Supply and fit Thermoline 3KG thermo adhesive underlay to roof area and encapsulation of parapet walls. (14) Supply and fit Nordgum 5KG black mineral reinforced polyester membrane to all areas including parapet walls. (15) Provide/issue Siltec Bituminous membrane waterproofing 20-year warranty with additional insurance backing. The contractor remains liable for all site security, health and safety, risk and insurance compliance for the duration of the works, including securing scaffolding, skips etc. Any site visits for the purposes of quoting should be organised via email request to clerk@crowthorne-pc.gov.uk Tenders are invited by 18 March 2022 It is anticipated works will take place in April/early May 2022.
