Legal Justification
All of the other home countries are already using these tools and uploading data. Responsibility for the supply of medicines is reserved to the UK Government; all home countries feeding into the same reporting tool enables UK level oversight of medicines usage and stockholding – information which can be used to ensure continuity of supply of medicines within the UK (e.g. early identification of stock-out scenarios, data to inform sourcing decisions on additional stock to meet rising demand) etc.
