Brief Description of Requirement BBSRC plays an important role in engaging and supporting academic researchers and businesses to collaborate on research and development in bioscience and biotechnology. We help businesses to grow and thrive through co-design, co-investment and co-delivery in strategic, industrially-relevant collaborative R&D programmes with the bioscience research base. The aim of this evaluation activity is to conduct an outcomes and impact evaluation of the BBSRC strategic investments in the spin-outs created and supported by BBSRC. This study seeks to monetise the economic impacts delivering a Gross Value Added figure. The Economic Impact Assessment should be designed to consider impact over time as companies develop and grow, collecting evidence over the spin-outs lifecycle. The successful bidder will provide a robust methodology for assessing the economic performance and impact of spinouts supported by BBSRC (60 selected spin-outs) and apply this to our existing dataset. The methodology must be scalable and be able to be repeated in future years as the creation of more spin-outs is supported. Please ensure you review all attached information to ensure a full understanding of this requirement. All attachments can be found with the Document Uploads tab within the Delta eSourcing Portal.
