Description

The existing key management systems at seven Scottish Prison Service Establishments have reached the end of their serviceable life. Recognising the requirement for replacement this contract provides for the design, supply, and installation and commissioning of a complete replacement key management system for each of the affected Establishments. Once the Works are complete, this contract will also include for planned preventative maintenance and reactive repair services for the systems, initially for a 5 year period, with an option for SPS to extend for a further 5 years.

Legal Justification

The above contract was awarded to Biometric Technologies Ltd T/A Argus True ID (07194096) on 21st December 2018. This contract incorporated Works (design, supply, installation of replacement key management systems at a total of 7 SPS Establishments) and also Services (Maintenance and Repair of the new systems for a 5 year term with an extension period of up to 5 years). The Works have now been completed and a Completion Certificate was issued on 27th May 2020. However, the Contractor advised SPS prior to the end of the Works that their organisation entered into administration and the services were then assigned to their key sub-contractor utilised for the Works, Keytracker Limited.
