Modification Notice Original description: The Security Design Services Provider will provide design and integration services, programming and consultative expertise for Physical / Protective security (infrastructure, technical, systems), for all competition and non-competition Venues within the footprint of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, including the Organising Committee's corporate premises and other assets where applicable. Description of the modifications Previous modification Date: 24 February 2022 Value: £150,800 (excluding VAT) increase in Contract price Description: An increase in Scope for drawing redesigns, new site designs, a Data Protection Impact Assessment, Additional CCTV and Perimeter Intrusion Detection solutions New modification Date: 25 March 2022 Value: £32,475 (excluding VAT) increase in Contract price Description: Additional Security design work at multiple venues Description of the economic or technical reasons and the inconvenience or duplication of cost preventing a change of contractor: There would be difficulties of changing contractors at this stage of Games planning and delivery of the Original Contract and the need for any additional supplies and services to integrate with the supplies and services provided to date by Cornerstone GRG Limited. Re-procurement timescales are prohibitive - Onboarding of a new supplier could lead to significant delays in the delivery of the supplies and services which would have a negative impact on the overall Games.
