The UK Research and Innovation China office was established in 2007 (formerly RCUK China), and is based at the British Embassy in Beijing. Our main funding partners in China are the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST), the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Jiangsu Science and Technology Department, Guangdong Science and Technology Commission, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS). This portfolio covers a diverse range of sectors including environment and climate change, ageing and health, sustainable and renewable technologies, food security, fundamental sciences and urbanisation and infrastructure.
