Description

Doncaster Council is seeking tenders for the provision of its Healthwatch Service.

Total Quantity or Scope

The purpose of this Service is to give people and communities a stronger voice to influence and challenge how health and social care services are provided within their locality. Local Healthwatch is a statutory service commissioned by local councils as part of the Health and Social Care Act 2012. Nationally and locally, Healthwatch have a responsibility to ensure that those in charge of health and social care services listen to and act on feedback ensuring that services are fit for purpose and meet the population’s health and social care needs. As well as seeking the public’s views, Healthwatch also encourage health and social care services to involve people in decisions that affect them. Every English local authority has a duty to make provision for the delivery of Healthwatch statutory activity in their local area.
