Description

A multiple supplier call-off framework is required to supply and deliver PPE and offer ancillary support services which will be available to all six District Councils and Cumbria County Council in Cumbria. The type of PPE is split into two Lots across each new council area:- • Lot 1 – Highways, Fleet and Transport only PPE - A) Cumberland Council - B) Westmorland and Furness Council • Lot 2 – All other general PPE and Corporate Wear - A) Cumberland Council - B) Westmorland and Furness Council Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Corporate Wear includes but is not limited to items such as safety helmets, gloves, eye protection, high-visibility and weatherproof clothing, corporate wear and safety footwear as well as respiratory protective equipment (RPE).

Lot Division

1 Highways, Fleet and Transport only PPE
  • Value: £800K

The Lot 1 catalogue will list core and essential high performance Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) products, as defined by the Highways, Transport & Fleet Departments. PPE includes but is not limited to goods such as safety helmets, gloves, eye protection, high-visibility and weatherproof clothing and safety footwear as well as respiratory protective equipment (RPE). There will be a maximum of three suppliers awarded onto Lot 1 of the call-off framework in each area.

2 All other general PPE and Corporate Wear
  • Value: £200K

The Lot 2 catalogue will list standard day-to-day PPE and Corporate Wear products as required by other departments throughout the Council. Lot 2 will be awarded to one supplier in each area. The ‘Standard’ catalogue will be accessible to all departments and has currently over 230 lines including but not limited to t-shirts, trousers, jackets, healthcare tunics and safety boots.

Renewal Options

The Council proposes to enter into the Framework Agreement for an initial period of 2 years with the successful Tenderers (Service Provider) with the option of two further 12 months extensions.

The multiple supplier call-off framework will be available to the six District Councils in Cumbria. Please note that Cumbria is currently undergoing a Local Government Reorganisation. Government has announced that Cumbria County Council and the six district councils are to be replaced by two unitary authorities with effect from 01 April 2023. This Agreement is for use by Cumbria County Council as identified in the contract notice and any successor council(s) as defined in The Local Government (Structural Changes) (Transfer of Functions, Property, Rights and Liabilities) Regulations 2008 of Cumbria County Council.
