Kent & Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust and Kent Community Health Foundation Trust invites providers of hard facilities management services to contribute to a pre-procurement market engagement exercise to help shape the future of the proposed Hard FM Contract and how these services are delivered. The pre-market engagement event will assist the Trusts’ in preparing for a procurement exercise later in 2022 within a contract to commence Summer 2023.The Hard FM contract has an estimated value of £4m per annum across the two Trusts covering its planned preventative maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) services, and statutory testing. The contract also includes reactive work which incorporates building fabric and some minor works. Organisations who are interested in participating should express their interest to kmpt.procurement@nhs.net . We are keen to receive questionnaire responses by Thursday 30th June and subject to the level of interest would then hold a virtual Market Engagement day on Friday 7th July 2022 where organisations will be invited to an overview presentation with key Trust officers followed by 1 to 1 sessions. Further details will be provided to interested organisations. The Trust is reviewing its delivery model and is open to alternative approaches in order to achieve efficiencies and high standards of work. The Trust is currently considering a hybrid model where low skilled maintenance work is delivered in house by a team of semi-skilled operatives rather than outsourced. The two Trusts operate a diverse property portfolio with an approximate total GIA of. 107,000sq. m spread across Kent and Medway, which provide 24-7-365 day patient services including community hospitals, health clinics and high security facilities.
