Cumbria Chamber of Commerce has for the past twelve years run the BSUS (Business Start-Up Support) project for Cumbria. We are now looking to refresh our pool of trainers to provide online delivery allowing coverage to the whole county with the intention to start delivery from 4th July 2022 until our ERDF contract ends on 30th June 2023. We are looking to develop a pool of experienced business trainers (individual trainers and/or training organisations) across a range of topics to facilitate and present training sessions, workshops and seminars across Cumbria. Training/workshops delivered will need to be tailored to meet the needs of people looking to start their own business and young businesses in their first three years of trading. Submissions should look to cover both full and half day options and we're particularly interested in, but not limited to, the below areas: • Start and grow your artisan food business (other sectors will be considered) • Marketing including development of marketing plans, hints, tips and tricks, paid for advertising • Digital marketing channels available and an overview of each including Instagram and TikTok • Making the most of your website including design, photography/videos, build, search engine optimisation/keywords and analytics • Product descriptions, positioning, innovation • E-commerce - how to start, develop and grow • Pricing • Business planning, planning for growth, succession planning • HR • Bookkeeping/record keeping/allowable expenses/HMRC/legal status • Making tax digital/cloud accountancy • Sales including pitching and negotiation • Tender/contract development - what to include in a submission and how to write a tender • Presentation skills • How to accelerate business growth • How to turn my hobby into a business Your submission should cover as a minimum: • Titles and brief description of training being offered • Description of your delivery methodology • CVs for all staff involved in the management and delivery of the service • Track record and relevant experience including examples of similar work and at least two relevant referees • Pricing Submissions should be sent by email to Lesley Robinson lesleyr@cumbriachamber.co.uk marked 'Confidential - Tender Enclosed' to reach us by no later than 9am on Monday 27th June 2022 with the intention for successful/unsuccessful responses being sent week commencing 4th July 2022.
