Legal Justification

The board wishes to extend the existing support and maintenance for the ICU System for a further 3 years. The Carevue\ICCA system is an Intensive Care System used extensively throughout NHS GG&C to monitor and manage patients and to provide reporting, for audit and quality improvement purposes. This system has been extensively customised and developed for use within GG&C, with significant investment made in interfacing to other systems, throughout all GG&C Intensive Care Units sites which ensures that there is a single solution for all Adult Intensive Care Units throughout NHS GG&C.As such we are not looking to replace the system which works effectively, we are extending the support and maintenance with the current supplier for an additional 3 years.
